LocalDeck control issues

I have received my LocalDeck (many thanks, it looks great!)
I’ve followed and completed your YouTube guide.
When i go to redeploy the firmware to the LocalDeck, via ESPHome to add install the button assignments, i get the following error:

I see the unit in Integrations / ESPHome. all the lights and switches work from there (so it’s obviously connected and communicating with HA) but i can’t redeploy the config

I see there’s reference elsewhere on this forum to this issue - sorry i couldn’t reply to that thread due to permissions. THe suggestion there was to “clean the build files”. i wasn’t sure how to do that, but eventually found reference to: “select three dots on the node name and select clean build files”. i’m running that now.

eventually, that worked. had to power-cycle the LocalDeck

I’m a little confused TBH. I’ve just added the programming for another button via the LocalDeck Configurator, and then Installed the configuration via ESPHome.
Once that had deployed;….. nothing. nothing worked.
So, power cycled the LocalDeck, Still nothing.
Restarted Home Assistant, Still nothing.
Rebooted the HA hardware, and the LocalDeck. Waited, waited some more… and it worked.

What’s going on here?
Maybe the LocalDeck just takes a long while to come up. I haven’t timed it, tho. a few minutes?

In ESP Home if you click the 3 dots on the right of the device (where it says Visit Edit Logs) then ‘Clean Build Files’ you should be able to install after

Just performed another switch allocation and reinstalled via ESPHome.
None of the buttons worked.
I waited 20 mins, before i checked in on it. this is the error message in ESPHome:

So, i power cycled the LocalDeck. nothing.
waited over 10 minutes, still nothing.

msemse I had a BUNCH of issues with the device disconecting and for me the disabling power saving made a huge difference! I also had to fully disable bluetooth in order to be able to turn off power saving…but well worth it for me and has been super stable since!
