Fantastic work on putting the HA add-on together, its a super nice touch to be easily be able to configure the LocalDeck and all completely locally! 😃

As a future feature, I would LOVE to see the local configurator to be able to show you an existing config that you could then modify and update as required rather than have to build the config for all 24 buttons each time.

Looking forward to seeing how people find theirs now they have been released into the wild!

Well done for all the existing work and thank you for all future work. 🙂

This issue #30 was fixed in pr#32 and released in v0.5

    Hi homeautomationnutter,

    This should be the case…
When you re-open an existing configuration, should it re-populate from your last save?

    Are you seeing something different?

Hi AAllport! Jumping in to say that I am also experiencing the same issue where every time I open the LocalDeck configurator from Home Assistant, it doesn’t remember the previous assignments so I would need to re-do all 24 keys from scratch. The only way the configuration is re-populated is by clicking the weblink in the yaml file but that will bring me to the online configurator with my settings pre-filled.

Don’t you suppose one (or both) of you could put the weblink here?
Or even better, upload the yaml file on GitHub here - https://github.com/LocalBytes/localdeck-config/issues/30

We do have a test or two to cover reopening files, and it’s working in development, so I’m keen to see what’s gone wrong here!

AAllport changed the title to Configurator Not Persisting Changes .
