Monitoring plug loses connection

Hi,

I have a Tasmota Power Monitoring Smart Plug which I use to determine when my 3d printer has completed (i.e. the power drops below a defined level). This changes the colour some lights in my living room using Home Assistant.

This set up has worked for months, but I have recently found the automation is triggering randomly, even when the printer is disconnected and the switch on the unit is turned off. This results in my living room lights changing for no reason.

The home assistant logs indicate that the device is becoming unavailable, then returning, which is triggering the automation, even though the power has not changed (as the unit is off).

I have moved the plug to the same room as my wifi access point to see if range is the issue, but it still occurs.

Does anyone have any idea why this could be occurring?

I also noticed that the voltage was showing 320V and has been since the start of March when IIRC I had problems with the connecting to the plug and upgraded the firmware to 13.4.0, so it is possible when I did this I lost factory settings and calibration. I have just completed the calibration steps on https://blog.mylocalbytes.com/tools/tasmota-calibration which has fixed the voltage.
Are there any other factory settings I may have accidentality wiped when I upgraded?

The main ones are the template, and then the power calibration!

DAve Does this suggest why I having my issue?

There are a few things that jump out when reading those logs...
Mainly, STATUS11 shows some downtime, and STATE shows a high MQTT Count.
In combination with "RestartReason": "Power On" this would suggest the following...

There is a relatively consistent power source (we're not seeing brownouts)
It's just connectivity (I'd expect to see a lower MQTT count if the device was restarting)

First off, I'd suggest the following...
Reset 3 followed by a physical power cycle - This will recalibrate the wifi antenna.
If you're still having issues, let us know and we'll see what we can do!

I had the plug plugged in to my desk 1m from the access point, and turned off, whist I was writing the last post and the automation was triggered while I had the Tasmota console up.

I recently had one out of a batch of 24 going unavailable - it even looked like a pattern, close to once per hour but only during a part of the day (visible in the plugs HA History, see screenshot).

Is it similar to what you're seeing?

I hadn't thought to look at the switch state, if I check this for yesterday it does indeed seem to show a change at a multiple of 15-20 minutes.

In my case there is no change to an on state since the switch on the plug is off, but there is a new off state reported in HA.

However after about 20 mins (which is close to the regularity noted above) the lights changed again.
So that does not seem to have fixed the issue.
