We’re on the Case
There were a few minor changes to the case we needed to make, and then we’re all set to go.
That said, we have got to the stage of being able to produce images of the real product in its final form!

“Discounts! Get your Discounts!”
We previously planned to end the discount period at the end of the month, but we wanted to be able to produce some more photos and videos. Meaning you can get a feel for what the device is without feeling rushed to purchase.
As such, the current bundle discount has been extended. We’ll be keeping it until the 31st of May!
For you, loyal patron, this means there’s a nicer little thank you to show our appreciation – but only if you pre-order!! Here’s the breakdown.
LocalDeck + Case + Power Supply = £67.50 separately
LocalDeck Bundle = £64.00
LocalDeck Bundle PRE-ORDER discount = £58.00
We have zero plans to discount the LocalDeck in the future, in line with our seasonal sales (or lack thereof) policy!
All in Good Bad Time
Unfortunately, this update has a little bit of bad news… our PCBA provider has just ran out of the part we use for the rear-usb port. (Yeah, we’re frustrated too.)
They’re expecting them to arrive later this month, but this may push delivery back to early June, as opposed to late May.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated as we go into production!
With great power…
Comes even greater power supplies
Previously, when choosing the bundle, you had to choose your plug standard and colour, but that’s no longer the case.
Having had discussions with one of our suppliers, we’ve decided to swap to an interchangeable power adapter!
This means there’s less chance of the power adapter causing a split shipment in the future, and increases our availability to ship the LocalDeck.
It also means we have a single product that will work in the UK, EU, US, and Australia. (Did we mention we already ship worldwide?)
There are even a few other countries that use the same plug standard (but have a slightly different regulatory framework, which means we’re not allowed to advertise that we’ll work there).

We’ve been continually improving our LocalDeck Configurator, and will continue to in the future!

At the time of writing this, there are two notable updates:
PR#1 - We now support Material Symbols, so your LocalDeck can more closely match your HomeAssistant Install
PR#4 - You can now install the configurator using our MyHomeAssistant link!
Need a Hand?
We’re also working on producing some video guides, along with a “Getting Started” article. This will take you through initial setup, and configuration of the LocalDeck with HomeAssistant.
At this point, we’ll also pad out our Refs document for the LocalDeck so you know where to turn to if you get stuck!
