  • Manual setup - captive portal ok, then what?

Started the setup but my HA Yellow does not have bluetooth. Followed your instructions up until see the captive portal guide linked below. - I could not find a link. Did google and found the generic ESPHome page and got the localdeck on my network and automatically detected in HomeAssistant. I have the device and the 50 entities.

At 4:22 in the Quickstart video - head over to references - what is that? I can’t say I have encountered references before.

    Hi stevegroom,
    Sorry for the confusion.

Regarding references, these are the pages we put in the knowledgebase that act as a central hub for all the relevant guides to be linked from. E.g: https://blog.mylocalbytes.com/kb/2024-04-01

Regarding the addon, I misspoke in the video about it being in references… it’s actually in the text-form of the quickstart here: https://blog.mylocalbytes.com/kb/2024-06-01/getting-started-with-localdeck#setting-up-the-configurator

Please let me know if you run into any other issues!

@AAllport thanks’ I managed to get set up - after the device was added to HA, I renamed the entities and have been using it with Node-Red to control my office.
So far, Play/Pause, Radio 2, Radio 4, Volume Up, Volume Down, Fan, Shades open, 50%, 75%, and closed and lights.

I was a little dubious about the utility, but this is so much quicker than opening the HA dashboard or using voice commands.

I created an image in Illustrator and print the keycaps from there.

    Excellent work.
