Smart Plug + Extension Lead (UK)

Hi,

I did have a little search but could not find anything about this. These plugs are brill and I have 12 of them, however you cannot place these into a standard UK extension lead as they don’t fit. These share a similar Design as some other ones I brought, and they also suffer the same issue.

Another Issue I’ve noticed is that they actually limit my ability to turn my switch off on the socket facia, the other type I have do not due to them having a moulding that raises them away from the socket facia.

Is there a plan to sort these issues out?

This is a pretty standard issue with round type plugs. A possible workaround is that you can get a powerstrip that has switches for each socket. This increases the spacing between the sockets. although the switch itself might get in the way and depending on the model the increase in spacing might not be enough. I have one that works but I imagine not all will work.

That is a non-standard socket with non-standard switch positioning.
One assumes that that the switch is moved to the side in order to put the USB ports in the middle but when put on the other side they didn’t maintain correct distance so its not too close to the edge of the socket. There are other socket options that may work better.
