WPA3 compatible?

Hey guys,
I was wondering if the smart plugs and bulbs are wpa3 compatible?

Also, could I swap firmware from esphome and tasmota interchangeably?

I dont think they will support WPA3, They use an older ESP chip and I dont think its wifi stack supports it.
In the wifi Component documentation for ESPHome it also notes that WPA3 settinga are for “ESP32 Only” which would back up this thought.

I am pretty sure you can switch back and forth between firmwares with OTA flashing without issue. there is some notes on this in the knowledge base somewhere.

Thanks good to know. I think wpa2 would be ok with a long password to prevent IOT attacks, but I dont use a router with 2 wireless networks and dont want to risk <wpa3 with my local pc network.

I think the product range is great though @local bytes. Keep up the good work 😃
