Configurator not working: LocalDeck Error: [GET] ... 500 internal Server Error

Unfortunately, I can’t get the configurator to work on my Home Assistant: Even after flashing LocalDeck with version 0.7 via https://web.esphome.io/, I still get the following error message in Home Assistant when I start the configurator:

LocalDeck Files
Error: [GET] “/api/hassio_ingress/YV8_6mkL-JJ0Zn411FRGMbrV_vMOGfImeWfyncMZ9wg/api/index-files”: 500 Internal Server Error

I’ve tried both versions of the configurator, dev and non-dev.

So far, I haven’t found a solution to the problem, either here or on Github - but I hope someone knows the problem and can point me to a solution.

Thanks for reaching out, though sorry to hear about this.

Can you please confirm if you’ve got the ESPHome Builder Add on installed as well as the configurator?

thank you for the tip – the ESPhome Builder wasn’t actually installed. I must have overlooked the fact that it’s a prerequisite. Now it’s installed, and the error message is gone.
But the configurator now just shows “LocalDeck Files,” and the rest of the screen is blank. 😃 Do you have another tip? Could I have missed something?

You need to adopt the LocalDeck in the ESPHome Builder.
