ESPHome smart plugs have stopped working

I purchased a couple of UK smart plugs - ESPHome version - recently. Setup went fine, Zigbee2MQTT found them fine, I got the configured for tracking power in Home Assistant and all was well.

Suddenly a couple of weeks later I noticed that they had disappeared from Home Assistant, and Z2MQTT can’t see them.

I have a feeling this could be because I didn’t follow the “pro tip” of adopting the devices in ESPHome first?

I’ve looked for a way to reset the devices and just start over, but the only info I can find says info on how to do this is “coming soon for ESPHome”.

Any suggestions on how to get these working again?

Hi there!

Our ESPHome plugs don’t communicate via Zigbee. So, I think you may either have some plugs that weren’t bought from LocalBytes or perhaps you’re looking in the wrong place?

There should be an ESPHome integration in Home Assistant and any paired plugs should be visible there.
