It's not clear on your incubating product https://www.mylocalbytes.com/products/multi-gang-plug-socket?variant=42437382308031 if it would have power metering?

Also, even if it comes pre-flashed with tasmota, will it be easy to migrate to esphome?

Now that it's almost impossible to find any tuya based plug using an esp8266, being able to buy a tasmota or esphome power strip would be great.

My personal wish would be a c14 (for smaller foot print) smart tasmota power strip with 6 plugs but I'm guessing that's too niche :)

Good question!

At the moment, it's unlikely.
We're looking at some 3/4 gang extensions with individual relays but no power monitoring.

That said, there's nothing to say we couldn't do a "pro" version in the future!

I realise I’m very late to the party on this one, but I second the request for power monitoring: The vast majority of the automations I’m looking to achieve are related to power usage, ideally per-outlet but at a push a total draw would suffice.
I realise that I could achieve this by adding one of the existing Smart Plugs to each outlet of a dumb multi-way but it would look better and be easier to manage in HA if it was all integrated into a single device.
