ESPHome Smart Plug - Can't connect to the hotspot.

Hello,

I should start this by saying I’m not the most technically literate and maybe I’ve bought the wrong product haha but anyway… My plug shows as online in home assistant but all of the controls are showing as unavailable. It is connected to my router fine. I’m not sure how to go about fixing this.

Any help would be appreciated.

I tried blocking the smart plug in my router to see if I could reset it from the hotspot setup. I can see the hotspot show up but none of my devices are connecting to it.

Sorry to hear you’re having issues @JPlilBean .

I would suggest deleting the device in home assistant then attempting to re-add it. Once you’ve done this, it may also be beneficial to lock the device to a known IP address in your router’s settings.
