  • Configuration installs fine. localdeck does absolutely nothing. No Logs

I’ve suffered through getting the Configurator to produce a configuration for my localdeck. I’ve set up a single key to toggle a single light entity.

The configuration validates in ESPHome web. It installs onto the device (over USB) without any issues. I load the logs when it restarts and it shows a proper connection.

The single key light accurately shows the state of my light entity. But pressing the key does not toggle anything. If I toggle the entity in Home Assistant, the light is toggled.

Also of note: any time I press any other key, the light for that key will flash, but I’ll also get random colored lights (green, red). Is this normal?

I really want to like this product but so far it’s been a struggle. I feel like it should work with a single key configured. Has anyone had similar issues?

Oh another note: pressing the key that I configured actually shows a key press is received in the logs. but the entity is not toggled.

have you enabled the option to allow the device to make service calls?

Yes that has been enabled through all this.
